@Pikachu

Cu

@Pikachu

Ich hab da noch was gefunden.....Wenn das nichts hilft sauge Dir doch mal den Realplayer 8 Plus!

Why do I receive system errors or freezes when using RealPlayer?
This article applies to:

-RealPlayer G2
-RealPlayer 7
-RealPlayer 8
-Windows Operating Systems

You may receive error messages that indicate system errors, Illegal Operations, General Protection Faults (GPF), Invalid Page Faults (IPF), Application Errors, system freezes or system restarts when using RealPlayer if Windows fails to return the expected information.

These errors can usually be resolved by updating your sound or video card drivers, updating your Internet Service Provider\'s software, clearing the temporary files, running ScanDisk and Disk Defragmenter, disabling background applications or uninstalling and then reinstalling RealPlayer.

Solution 1: Update your sound card and video card drivers.

Your computer uses driver software to send information to the sound or video cards. RealPlayer may crash if the driver software is out of date, corrupt or has problems.

To resolve these issues, update your sound and video card drivers on a regular basis. Visit the Web site of your sound and video card manufacturers to verify that you are using the latest drivers.

Solution 2: Update your Internet Service Provider\'s software.

If your Internet Service Provider (America Online, Earthlink, and others) uses custom software to connect to the Internet, updating that software may resolve these issues. Contact your Internet Service Provider to verify that you are using the latest version of their software available, and to verify that their software uses a 32-bit compatible Winsock driver.

Solution 3: Empty the contents of the TEMP folder.

The Windows Temp folder is used by programs to store the temporary files it needs to complete its tasks. When the tasks are completed or the program closes, the files in the TEMP folder should be deleted. If files have accumulated in the folder you may receive errors.

1. Open the TEMP folder inside the Windows (or WINNT) folder on the C: Drive.
2. From the Edit menu choose Select All.
3. From the File menu choose Delete.
4. When asked if you are sure you want to delete these items, click Yes.
5. Once these steps are complete, close any open windows and restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted try using the RealPlayer again.

Note: If you receive an error indicating that a that a file or folder cannot be deleted because it is in use, skip the file and continue deleting the rest of the contents. Once you are finished clearing the rest of the contents, restart Windows and try these steps again before you open any other programs.

Solution 4: Run Scandisk and Disk Defragmenter.

RealPlayer may experience problems if it is unable to write or read information from the hard drive efficiently. ScanDisk and Disk Defragmenter are two system tools optimize your hard drive\'s efficiency. Run these system tools on a regular basis. Note that Windows NT 4.0 does not include Disk Defragmenter.

To run ScanDisk:

1. Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Right-click the C:\\ drive and choose Properties.
3. Click the Tools tab.
4. Under Error-Checking choose Check Now.

To run Disk Defragmenter:

1. Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Right-click the C:\\ drive and choose Properties.
3. Click the Tools tab.
4. Under Defragmentation choose Defragment Now.
For more information on ScanDisk or Disk Defragmenter, refer to your Windows documentation.

Solution 5: Close background programs.

Other software running in the background may cause system errors with RealPlayer. Temporarily disabling these programs while using RealPlayer may correct the errors.
To temporarily disable background programs on Windows:

1. Hold down the CTRL and ALT keys at the same time.
2. While holding down these keys, press the DELETE key once and release.
3. This opens the Close Programs window. It shows the programs running in the background. On Windows NT/2000, click Task Manager.
4. Highlight a program by clicking on it once.
5. Click on the End Task button. This turns the program off and closes the Close Programs window. Do not close either Systray or Explorer. These two programs are needed to run Windows.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 until only Systray and Explorer remain.
Solution 6: Uninstall and Reinstall RealPlayer.

Corrupted installations of older versions of RealPlayer may cause system errors. Removing RealPlayer and reinstalling it may resolve these problems. If you are using RealPlayer Plus, first locate your serial number; you will need it to reinstall RealPlayer.
To locate your serial number:

1. Open RealPlayer.
2. From the Help menu Choose About RealPlayer Plus. Your serial number is located at the bottom of this screen.

To uninstall RealPlayer, use the Windows Add/Remove Program Control Panel.

1. Click the Start button; choose Settings, and then Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
3. Click the Install/Uninstall tab.
4. Locate RealPlayer or RealPlayer Plus in the list of installed programs.
5. Select RealPlayer and click on the Add/Remove button. If you have multiple RealPlayer programs listed, remove them as well.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts.

You will also need to remove the RealPlayer folder from your hard drive:

1. Open the C:\\Program Files\\Real\\ folder.
2. Right click on the RealPlayer folder and choose Delete from the shortcut menu.
3. At the Confirm Folder Delete dialog box, click Yes.
You may now reinstall RealPlayer.
